Planned Parenthood is having a really rough time in Congress. First, a congressional committee has decided to investigate the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) and it s affiliates which includes Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin (PPWI). Now, new legislation has been introduced as part of the Labor, Health and Human Services appropriations bill which would prohibit federal funds to PPFA or its affiliates unless they stop performing abortions.
“This bill is the result of the cumulative effort of members of the Subcommittee, and Americans I heard from at 81 listening sessions and in countless meetings in Washington and in Montana,” stated Rep. Denny Rehberg of Montana, author of the proposal. As expected, PPFA avoids the fact that it is the abortion giant in condemning the legislation. “Eliminating funding for the Title X family planning program and prohibiting Planned Parenthood from providing preventive health care through federal programs will result in millions of women across the country losing access to basic primary and preventive health care,” pouts Cecile Richards, President of PPFA. Emily’s List chimes in by stating”This once again proves that Republicans will stop at nothing in their War on Women.”
The appropriations bill also includes a ban on abortion funding within Obamacare. This appropriations bill is vital to protect unborn children and women from the clutches of PPFA and its pro-abortion friends in Washington.
