Our keynote speaker is
Cori Salchert has been a mother and 15 kids and counting. She calls the home she shares with her husband, Mark, a “house of hope.” A former perinatal bereavement nurse with eight biological children, Salchert began adopting what she calls “hospice babies” – babies with life-limiting or terminal diagnoses – in 2012. Cori knows what it is like to love deeply, while holding loosely to the terminally ill children she cherishes in her home for the brief time they live before dying. Her strength and hope are in God, and she believes the pain and grief endured on earth is worth it because she’ll have forever to love her children in heaven.
