Please join our Eau Claire Co. Chapter for their annual Rally for Life!
Our annual Rally for Life will be held in Fr. Klink Hall at Immaculate Conception Church, 1722 Highland Ave., in Eau Claire at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 27th. (Enter by way of the Hall doors on Highland Ave. or the church doors on Sherwin Ave.)
Our speaker will be Melinda Gardner, the Executive Director of the APPLE Pregnancy Care Center in Eau Claire.
Melinda is the longest serving Care-Net PCC Director in the nation. She has been at APPLE since it opened in 1981. She is an alumni of Hillcrest Academy, and Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois. Melinda writes and speaks regularly on Abortion and Pregnancy Center Ministry, and teaches young people about “Love, Sex and Healthy Relationships.” She received the Perseverance Award from Care-Net in 2014, and was selected for the Eau Claire Community Foundation Outstanding Achievement Award in 2015. Melinda is married to Daniel Gardner, and is the mother of 2 adult daughters, and grandmother to 9 year old Braeden. She is the daughter of a pastor/seminary professor, and learned about ministry growing up. She is a watercolor artist and loves to travel, read and write.
Melinda will talk on the topic “A Look Into the Pregnancy Center.” Exactly what do pregnancy centers do? What happens each week? How is the Center sustained and managed? Learn about 37 years of APPLE’s ministry here in the Chippewa Valley. APPLE stands for Aiding Problem Pregnancies with Love & Encouragement. Melinda will share what led her to being involved in pregnancy center ministry and why she continues to work in this ministry after over 37 years. Hear wonderful stories of changed hearts and minds. Learn how you can help.
Her talk will be followed by questions and answers, and light refreshments. We look forward to seeing you there!
